Following their attendance at the 12th Asia-Pacific Conference on Transducers and Micro/Nano Technology (APCOT 2026) & International Conference on Smart Sensors (ICSS 2026) in Taichung, three world-class scholars pay a special visit to NCIR on June 25. They are Prof. Sang Won Yoon from Seoul National University (South Korea), Prof. Yoshikazu Hirai from Kyoto University (Japan), and Prof. Daisuke Yamane from Ritsumeikan University (Japan).

The visit is co-initiated and accompanied by Chair Professor Sheng-Shian Li from the Institute of Nano Engineering and MicroSystems, and Associate Professor Ming-Huang Li from the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU). The primary objective of this visit is to gain a deeper understanding of NCIR's cutting-edge scientific research capabilities and custom service offerings in the fields of thin-film coating technology and precision optics technology.
